Driving Licenses

The RTO issues,renews and provides domestic and international licenses to citizens of India in accordance with the rules laid down by the Motor Vehicles Act of India,1988. This act states that the minimum age limit is 18 years for issuing licenses for cars or two wheelers.However an exception is made for mopeds below 50cc horsepower wherein a license may be issued to individuals with a minimum age of 16 years.
